Soccer World Cup: Italy

Italy football federation is known as Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC). The federation was founded in 1898.Italy is current World Cup champions; they won the FIFA 2006 World Cup. It is counted among the top teams. It has won four World Cup titles i.e. in the year 1934,1938,1982,2006. They even won the European championship in 1968, they even won the title of Olympic Football Tournament in 1936. Adding to their list they have two Central European International Cups.

They are also known as Azzurri (blues), the traditional colour of the Italy soccer jersey is azure blue.
