Brazil has got the privilege and honour to host the Soccer world Cup 2014. In the Soccer World Cup history, Brazil football is remarked as the most victorious team.

Brazil soccer team is considered the most successful team as Brazil has won five World Cup titles i.e. in the year 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002. They won the Copa America tournament in the years i.e. 1919, 1922, 1949, 1989, 1997, 1999, 2004, 2007. They also won the Confederation Cup in the year 1997, 2005. It is the strongest football nation and there is also a saying that "The English invented it but the Brazilian perfected it".

Brazil has already hosted this prestigious tournament in 1950, Brazilians lost to Uruguay in the final match of the World Cup 1950.

FIFA has officially announced the name of host city for 2014 World Cup as Brazil.

Brazil was initially scheduled to decide on 10 host cities. But after a strong drive by the Brazilian government and the Brazilian Confederation of Soccer, so finally FIFA approved to increase it by two.

The response in Brazil was enormous which made it very difficult decision to choose just 12 venues from the initial list of 17. The official host cities are: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Brasilia, Cuiaba, Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza, Natal and Manaus.

Rio de Janeiro will host the final, while Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte are competing to host the opening match
