Visa International credit card and MasterCard charges 1% processing fee on international transactions, banks and other financial institutions which issue credit cards add their own fees on top of that which are remarked as international transaction fees or foreign transaction fees.

There are some similarity and difference between a normal credit card and a international credit card. The similarity between a traditional credit card and an overseas credit card is that both need minimum payment and can carry a balance forward to the next month and the difference is that an international credit card requires investors to submit a security deposit along with their application, thus these cards are called secured overseas credit cards. To increase the credit limit one can increase the deposit money.
